As the go-to subject matter expert, you'll leverage your proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and SQL to develop cutting-edge email templates for our clients' advisors to use. You'll also play a key role in optimizing and supporting other critical functions within the Salesforce Marketing Cloud ecosystem. You'll collaborate closely with marketing partners across the bank, translating their needs into flawless email experiences.
This is a 12-month project, which could extend beyond the initial contract period. Our client requires the Email Developer to work in the office in downtown Toronto up to 4 days per week.

• Develop Advanced Email Templates: Design, code, and implement highly dynamic and responsive email templates using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and AMPscript. These templates will be used by various internal teams for client and advisor communications.
• Salesforce Marketing Cloud Mastery: Drive the end-to-end execution of email marketing campaigns within SFMC, including day-to-day operations such as email development, campaign setup, scheduling, rigorous testing (QA), and deployment.
• Code-Driven Optimization: Conduct A/B tests and implement code-based optimizations to experiment with subject lines, email layouts, and creatives, directly driving increases in open and click-through rates.
• System Enhancement & Automation: Champion continuous advancement of email features, process improvements, and automation capabilities using tools like Automation Studio and Journey Builder to optimize customer experience and internal/external workflows.
• Data & Segmentation: Apply strong SQL skills for audience filtering, segmentation, and dynamic content personalization within Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
• Best Practices & Compliance: Establish and maintain email coding best practices while adhering to our client's brand standards and ensuring compliance with privacy laws (CASL/CAN-SPAM/GDPR).
• Collaboration & Support: Work closely with marketing partners, your Manager, and other stakeholders to gather requirements, ensure campaign accuracy and timeliness, and collaborate on documentation and organization of the Salesforce Marketing Cloud ecosystem.
• Innovation: Continuously monitor industry trends, technologies, and standards related to email development and online marketing, researching and recommending new approaches.
Qualifications
• Expert-Level Coding Skills: Proven hands-on experience and comfort with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and SQL specifically for email development.
• Salesforce Marketing Cloud Deep Dive: Minimum of 2-4 years of experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC). This includes strong, practical experience with Automation Studio, Journey Builder, and AMPscript.
• Email Ecosystem Understanding: A deep understanding and interest in the quirks, limitations, and best practices of various email environments and clients.
• Technical Acumen: Strong knowledge of email deployment best practices, data analytics, segmentation, and dynamic content implementation. Experience with Salesforce Sales Cloud, Cloud Pages, and other SFMC functionalities is a significant asset.
• Problem-Solver: Ability to organize multiple deadlines, troubleshoot complex issues, and perform a variety of tasks concurrently and efficiently.
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of explaining technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
