Responsibilities
Support the evaluation, upgrade, and continuous performance optimization of enterprise search engines and related discovery technologies.
Collaborate with business, communications, content, and technical teams to identify search challenges, gather requirements, and design user-centric search solutions.
Develop and maintain search standards, metadata strategies, taxonomy improvements, and content optimization workflows to increase search relevance and accuracy.
Configure search collections, implement structured schema markup (JSON-LD), optimize metadata, and resolve rendering or indexing issues for dynamic content.
Analyze search analytics, employee feedback, and user behavior metrics to identify information access barriers and enhance overall user experience.
Optimize search visibility, crawlability, and indexing for Single Page Applications (SPAs) using JavaScript SEO, pre-rendering, and dynamic rendering strategies.
Implement WordPress SEO best practices, plugin configurations, technical site architecture designs, and mobile search optimizations.
Write automation scripts using Python, Bash, or JavaScript to interact with REST APIs, manage large-scale search data workflows, and execute technical diagnostics.
Monitor search performance metrics, track key indicators, and produce analytical reports and presentations to guide continuous improvement.
Ensure all search solutions align with digital service standards, accessibility requirements (WCAG), and modern web usability guidelines.
Qualifications
Enterprise Search Platforms: Proven experience integrating, configuring, and optimizing enterprise search platforms (such as SearchBlox, Elasticsearch, or Apache Solr) (Strictly Required).
CMS & SPA Integration: Hands-on experience optimizing search performance within WordPress CMS environments and JavaScript-based Single Page Applications (SPAs) (Strictly Required).
Technical SEO & Structured Data: Deep expertise in technical SEO, site architecture design, metadata optimization, JSON-LD schema markup, canonicalization, and crawl budget management (Strictly Required).
Scripting & Automation: Strong proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, or JavaScript) and API tools (cURL) to automate diagnostics and manage search data workflows (Strictly Required).
Analytics & Diagnostic Tools: Demonstrated experience using analytics and diagnostic platforms (Google Analytics GA4, Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, SEMrush, or Ahrefs) to monitor KPIs and drive optimizations (Strictly Required).
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
