Responsibilities
Precisely prepare competitive estimates for structural steel projects of all sizes, adhering to strict deadlines.
Critically analyze drawings and specifications to accurately determine labor, material, and equipment costs.
Effectively communicate with construction, shop, and office staff to gather essential information for the bidding process.
Obtain price quotes from sub-trades while maintaining the company's competitive edge in the market.
Known for delivering excellent execution and fostering continuous improvement in a collaborative setting.
Qualifications
Possess an Engineering or Technologist degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Engineering.
Have a minimum of 10 years of experience in estimating steel fabrication and erection for commercial and institutional ventures.
A highly motivated self-starter who thrives with minimal supervision.
Demonstrates impeccable attention to detail in all tasks.
An expert at managing extensive to-do lists and consistently meeting deadlines.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
