Responsibilities
Set up, configure, and deploy new devices, including laptops, tablets, and workstations, using standardized imaging tools and scripts.
Conduct equipment replacement upgrades (Evergreen), specifically installing docks and monitors, including on-site installation of network systems for users.
Bend, lift, and crawl under desks to manage cabling and physical hardware setup.
Perform system upgrades and migrations (e.g., Windows 10/11), ensuring security compliance, group policy configurations, and routine performance optimization.
Provide first-line support for hardware, software, and peripheral devices like printers and docking stations by running diagnostics and resolving issues.
Manage and verify system backup and recovery processes to protect user data during hardware or software upgrades.
Manage and record incoming desktop requests from initiation to completion in an ITSM tool such as BMC, Cherwell, or Magic Service Desk.
Perform initial problem analysis and triage or escalate complex issues to the appropriate Tier for resolution.
Respond to customer issues via phone, email, and computer applications while documenting all interactions.
Maintain accurate inventory records and participate in the preparation of procedure manuals and help desk documentation.
Qualifications
Fluently bilingual in both English and French, capable of communicating orally and in writing without assistance.
Must hold and retain a valid Secret security clearance.
Hands-on experience with Windows 10 and 11 installations, upgrades, troubleshooting, and endpoint security.
Strong knowledge of imaging and deployment tools (e.g., MDT, SCCM, Intune) and managing hardware assets like laptops and workstations.
Proficiency in providing user support for MS Office 2010 Suite or higher.
Experience using Document Management systems such as SharePoint, GC Docs, RDIMS, or OneDrive.
Familiarity with Active Directory, Group Policy, and backup/recovery processes to safeguard user data.
Ability to support and troubleshoot peripheral devices, including printers, docking stations, and external monitors.
Relevant education from a recognized organization, such as a High School diploma, Professional Certification, College/CEGEP Diploma, or University Degree.
Must be located in or able to commute to the National Capital Region (NCR).
