Responsibilities
- You must be hands-on, this is not a job where you are sitting behind a desk
- Provide guidance and cascade information from planners and leadership
- Supervise a team of approximately 30
- Monitor and adjust production schedules to meet deadlines while ensuring compliance with company standards.
- Conduct regular inspections, implement improvements, and optimize productivity to minimize waste.
- Train new employees on production processes and safety protocols.
- Work closely with other departments to ensure smooth operations.
- Enforce safety regulations, promote a safe working environment, and maintain accurate production records.
- Assist team members with MIG, TIG and fabrication
Qualifications
- At least 3 years in a leadership role within a custom weld shop
- You have strong blueprint and schematic reading skills
- You have strong knowledge of welding, quality control and production processes with a minimum of 6 years of TIG and MIG and fabrication
- You have strong people and leadership skills, and treat everyone with respect, delegate tasks, and you know how to get the best out of your team
- You are great under pressure and able to make decisions in a safe manner that doesn't compromise quality
- You are computer savvy and able to manage reports and other tasks within the company software
