Responsibilities
- Direct the daily activities of the welding and assembly teams to ensure all custom fabrication targets are met on schedule.
- Maintain a high-performance culture by conducting regular performance reviews and managing team attendance and vacation planning.
- Collaborate with the engineering department to review technical shop drawings and ensure precise execution of complex designs.
- Uphold rigorous safety protocols, including PPE enforcement, while serving as a key member of the safety committee.
- Utilize root cause analysis to troubleshoot production bottlenecks and implement lean manufacturing strategies for better efficiency.
- Step in with technical guidance as a Fabrication Supervisor to mentor junior staff and ensure top-tier craftsmanship on the floor.
Qualifications
- You possess a minimum of five years in a specialized metal fabrication environment with at least three years in a leadership capacity.
- A strong preference is given to candidates holding a CWB or those with previous CWB credentials.
- You are highly proficient in reading complex schematics and technical drawings for various welding processes, including Mig, Tig, and Flux Core.
- Your background includes a solid understanding of ISO 9001 standards and the application of progressive discipline when necessary.
- The ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and manage inventory to align with fluctuating production demands is essential.
