Our client, a leading Oilfield equipment manufacturer, is seeking a few skilled Welders to support the fabrication and assembly of high-spec equipment used in oilfield applications. This is a great opportunity for a 3rd Year Apprentice to Journeyperson looking for stable, long-term employment.
Job Type: Contract-to-hire (permanent opportunity post-probation)
Location: SE Calgary
Pay: $31.50 – $42.25/hour (based on experience and certification)
Shift: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Overtime: Optional and offered as needed

Responsibilities
As a welder in a manufacturing environment, a normal day will include:
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and weld symbols to execute fabrication projects accurately
- Perform MIG, metal core, flux-core, and occasional TIG and stick welding on components
- Carry out flat, horizontal, and overhead welds in accordance with CWB standards
- Prepare and lay out materials to specification, ensuring proper fit and alignment
- Adhere to all safety procedures and promote a safe, transparent working environment
- Support the team with other general fabrication and assembly tasks as required
Qualifications
What do you need for this position?
- Valid CWB certification (Metal Core, Flux-Core, Stick) – must provide a current copy
- Journeyperson Welder or Registered 3rd Year Apprentice+ status
- Strong experience in fabrication/assembly welding and working from blueprints
- Comfortable with a variety of welding processes (MIG essential; TIG and Stick occasional)
- Ability to pass a practical weld test
- Team player with a proactive, safety-first mindset
