Serve as the primary site representative, diligently overseeing compliance with all contracts.
Strategically lead, coach, and motivate a unionized team, driving operational performance and fostering a high level of employee engagement.
Rigorously monitor KPIs to identify gaps, inform effective decision-making, and significantly improve financial and operational outcomes for the site.
Actively champion a safe working environment by ensuring strict adherence to all applicable HSE protocols and participating in accident prevention activities.
Manage weekly financial forecasting, exercising fiscal prudence and preparing detailed analyses to explain variances against the established budget.
Cultivate and maintain positive, strategic business relationships with customers, suppliers, and subcontractors to guarantee outstanding customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
You must be legally authorized to work in Canada to be considered for this Facility Manager position.
Demonstrate a minimum of ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience in Facility Management or facilities maintenance, gained through the trades, relevant education (degree/diploma), or a combination thereof.
Possess a strong track record of effectively managing a unionized workforce, including experience negotiating local collective agreements.
Experience working within large, complex infrastructure sites, specifically those with sophisticated building systems, ideally within a Hospital or specialized Health Care setting.
Expertise in utilizing Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and a high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
Excellent ability to interpret and understand complex contract documents, technical manuals, and drawings (such as As-Builts or Record Drawings) for a Facility Manager role.
