The Contractor, field administrator / Construction & Maintenance line person is responsible for overseeing, coordinating and assisting with executing overhead and underground capital construction, connections and maintenance projects. • Review and interpret electrical drawings, prints, and designs to support project execution.
• Supports design team with any field and construction unit interpretations to support billing
• Provide mentorship to design team progressing into their roles.
• Foster positive customer and stakeholder relationships.
Quality Assurance & Field Inspection
• Inspect materials, workmanship, safety practices and methods to ensure compliance with contracts, specifications, and quality standards.
• Issue deficiency notices, ensure follow-up, and maintain rigorous documentation.
• Validate project completion packages including as-builts, walkdowns, documentation, and material returns.
Stakeholder Coordination
• Collaborate with design teams during pre-planning and construction stages; provide technical input.
• Support customer satisfaction, brand protection, and THESL reputation during all field interactions.
Required Qualifications
• Red Seal Power Line Technician.
• Ex-utility experience in a supervisory role (THESL preferred)
• Familiarity with Toronto Hydro distribution system 13.8kV, 27.6kV, 4kV, Network & Box Systems.
• Familiarity with Utility Work Protection Code UWPC
