In this role, you will be responsible for erecting, fitting, aligning, and securing structural steel components on-site. If you have a solid background in structural erection, reading drawings, working safely at heights, and delivering quality craftsmanship in the field, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities
Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and specifications to plan field layout and connection details.
Signal crane operators for hoisting, positioning, and setting heavy steel beams, columns, trusses, and joists safely.
Assemble, align, bolt, connect, and tack-weld structural steel members in accordance with site plans.
Perform field modifications, including thermal cutting, grinding, or fitting adjustments as needed on-site.
Set up and work safely from scaffolding, elevated work platforms (AWP), and harness tie-off points.
Adhere strictly to project timelines, quality control, and safety standard operating procedures.
Qualifications
Experience: 3+ years of experience as a Structural Field Ironworker or Steel Erector (Journeyperson ticket or registered apprentice preferred).
Technical Skills: Proficient in reading structural drawings, rigging methods, and field connecting. CWB welding certification (FCAW/SMAW) is a strong asset.
Safety Certifications:
- Fall Protection / Working at Heights
- Aerial Work Platform (AWP / Boom Lift)
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation
Physical Capability: Ability to work comfortable at heights, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in outdoor fall weather conditions.
Availability: Must be fully available to commit to the duration of the contract starting mid-August.
