We’re looking for a self-motivated, hands-on technician who enjoys working independently in the field while delivering high-quality service and solutions. The ideal candidate is adaptable, detail-oriented, and excels at troubleshooting and problem-solving under pressure. Position Title: Field Service Technician
Location: Surrey, BC
Permanent full-time opportunity with OT
Schedule: Monday-Friday
Shifts: 8:00 am to 4:30 pm + overtime
Wage: $30-$50 (based on experience and quality of candidate)
Certifications like Journeyman or Red Seal Millwrights, Electricians, Heavy Duty Mechanics or Diesel Mechanics considered an asset.
Previous compressed air service or HVAC experience is an ASSET
Previous field service experience is an asset
You are legally permitted to work Fulltime in British Columbia

Responsibilities
Perform installation, maintenance, diagnostics, and repair of mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic systems at client sites
Troubleshoot equipment and perform corrective actions in a timely, safe, and efficient manner
Communicate effectively with clients to explain issues, repairs, and preventative maintenance
Document service reports and ensure all work orders are completed accurately
Follow all safety procedures and protocols, both on-site and in transit
Travel within the designated service area (local/regional) – occasional overnight stays may be required
Qualifications
Skills & Knowledge:
Familiarity with AC/DC circuits, wiring diagrams, motors, PLCs, HVAC, and/or refrigeration systems.
3+ years of relevant field service or technician experience (mechanical, hydraulic, electrical)
Strong understanding of tools, diagnostic equipment, and service procedures and troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
Comfortable working independently in the field with minimal supervision
Relevant certifications or trade qualifications considered a strong asset (e.g., Millwright, Heavy Duty Mechanic, Hydraulic Technician)
Proficient with Microsoft Office and mobile computing devices (iPhone, iPad).
Ability to use precision diagnostic tools and read equipment manuals.
Strong commitment to integrity, safety, and ongoing learning.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Proficiency in using diagnostic and testing equipment
Physical and Working Conditions:
Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. and performing physical tasks like reaching, kneeling, and standing for long periods
Exposure to noise, dust, fumes, and weather elements
Work in a physically demanding environment (lifting, kneeling, standing)
Must follow safety regulations and handle equipment
Use of personal protective equipment provided
To be considered for this role, candidates must:
Pass a drug and alcohol screening (zero-tolerance policy)
Provide a clean driver’s abstract for operating company vehicles
Hold a valid Canadian passport for out-of-country training
Pass a criminal background check
Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident
Be fully committed to commuting and traveling as required
