Responsibilities
•Support the transformation and optimization of the financial results close function.
•Oversee the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
•Partner with business stakeholders to understand operations and deliver insightful financial analysis.
•Manage risks, provisions, and internal controls, supporting audit requirements.
•Prepare, review, and approve transactional activities during close cycles.
•Analyze financial information and present findings to enable data-driven decisions.
•Identify gaps in processes and systems, recommending and implementing improvements.
•Guide stakeholders on new transactions, accounting standards, and projects while maintaining robust governance.
•Leverage technology, including AI and machine learning, to drive process efficiencies.
Qualifications
•Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or Commerce.
•2–3 years of experience in finance, accounting, or a similar role.
•CPA designation or significant progress toward completion (preferred).
•Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
•Familiarity with S4 Hana and related accounting systems (an asset).
•Experience with AI and machine learning applications in finance (an asset).
•Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to simplify complex topics.
•Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders.
