Responsibilities
- Monitor assigned accounts to identify outstanding debts and initiate the collection process.
- Communicate professionally with customers via phone and email to discuss payment status and resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all collection activities and customer interactions within the internal database.
- Collaborate with the credit and sales departments to investigate and resolve billing issues.
- Process incoming payments and ensure they are applied correctly to the appropriate accounts.
- Prepare regular reports on delinquent accounts and progress made toward collection targets.
- Escalate complex or high-risk accounts to senior management as required by company policy.
- Audit account information to ensure compliance with internal financial guidelines.
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field (Recent Graduates are highly encouraged to apply!).
- Strong administrative aptitude with a focus on data accuracy and file management.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a customer-first mindset.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (familiarity with VLOOKUPs or Pivot Tables is a plus).
- Ability to learn new software systems quickly and navigate complex databases with ease.
- High level of professional maturity and the ability to handle sensitive financial information with discretion.
- Proactive problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a deadline-driven environment.
- A positive, "can-do" attitude and a desire to build a career within a world-class financial institution.
