Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the full-cycle accounting function, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting
- Design, implement, and maintain strong internal controls and standard operating procedures (SOPs) across all accounting functions
- Take ownership of month-end and year-end close processes, including overseeing bank reconciliations and invoicing
- Support and directly assist with day-to-day accounting activities
- Coordinate and support year-end audits and review engagements, ensuring all documentation is accurate and on time
- Work closely with the on-site General Manager and manage a small accounting team, including remote members
- Provide financial insights and reporting to the Corporate Controller to support management decision-making
Qualifications
- Atleast 3 years of full-cycle accounting experience, with proven experience in leadership, establishing internal controls and governance
- Previous experience in a service-based industry is highly preferred
- Experience supporting audit and review engagements
- Ability to work independently with minimal daily direction in a fast-paced environment
- Exposure to mergers, acquisitions, and post-merger integration is considered a strong asset
- Comfort with occasional overtime during critical close periods and occasional travel
