What you'll do
As a Machine Operator, you'll be at the heart of operations—right on the production floor where materials take shape.
Your day-to-day will include:
Obtaining production orders and verifying stock specifications and material condition before production begins.
Performing all production activities, including machine set-up, operation, cleanup, and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
Completing production reports and required documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
Performing production tasks involving repetitive hand movements, standing, lifting, moving, and packing materials.
Proactively identifying equipment issues and submitting maintenance requests when repairs are required.
Following all company policies and procedures, including Health & Safety standards, housekeeping requirements, and government regulations.
Assisting second and third operators with machine operation and performing other duties assigned by the Production Supervisor.
You are a natural fit for this role if you have:
A minimum of 1–2 years of machine operating experience in a manufacturing environment.
Experience in the corrugated industry (considered an asset).
Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot basic equipment issues.
The ability to read and understand work instructions, production documentation, and use basic computer systems.
The ability to lift 35 lbs and perform physically demanding work throughout the shift.
The ability to read both metric and imperial tape measurements accurately.
A strong commitment to workplace safety, quality, and operational efficiency, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
