Responsibilities
- Fitting & Fabricating: Execute intricate, large-scale custom fits and fabrications on structural steel components.
- Welding: Perform high-quality MIG and Metal-Core welding based on technical drawings and blueprint specifications.
- Material Handling: Safely operate heavy machinery, overhead cranes, and hoists to maneuver large fabrications.
- Quality Control: Conduct precise dimensional inspections on finished custom components.
- Safety: Adhere strictly to all plant safety protocols and completed safety evaluations.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in custom steel fabrication or the structural steel industry.
- Strong proficiency in MIG and Metal-Core welding processes.
- For the Fitter role: A proven, heavyweight background in blueprint reading and intricate fitting.
- For the top pay bracket ($32-$35/hr): Must possess active welding tickets in all positions.
- Previous experience in heavy-duty structural environments is highly valued.
- Valid Forklift, Overhead Crane, or Hoist experience is considered a strong asset.
