Responsibilities
- Perform a high volume of fitting tasks, comprising approximately 80% of your daily duties, with the remaining 20% dedicated to welding.
- Execute intricate fits and welds on large-scale custom fabrications, including frames and structural steel and aluminum.
- Utilize your expertise in Flux Core Arc Welding (FCAW) to create durable and precise welds.
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and company standards while working in the manufacturing facility.
- Operate essential heavy machinery, such as hoists and overhead cranes, as part of your role as a Fitter.
- Conduct dimensional inspections on finished products using tools like micrometers and verniers.
Qualifications
- You must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the custom steel and aluminum fabrication trade.
- Candidates must possess a Flux-Core Canadian Welding Bureau (CWB) Certification.
- You must have at least 2 years experience specifically with Flux Core Arc Welding (FCAW)
- You must possess a STRONG background in fitting
- A valid Forklift Certification is required for this Fitter position.
- Experience with Stick welding (SMAW) is considered a valuable asset.
