Mechanic Apprentice (2nd or 3rd Year)
Tired of the same four walls? We’re looking for a tech-savvy apprentice to join a high-speed team that balances 60% fleet maintenance with 40% general automotive repair. This isn't just a bay job; you’ll master light-duty commercial trucks (up to 5500 series) and SUVs in a dynamic, mobile-first environment that rewards problem-solvers.
...
The Opportunity
Direct Mentorship: Work alongside a Journeyman on complex engine repairs and electrical diagnostics.
Mobile Freedom: We use a mobile dispatch model. As you grow, you’ll earn the keys to your own service truck.
Digital Shop: Master Mitchell 1 OnDemand and cloud-based work orders. High-level computer fluency is non-negotiable here.
Career Security: This is a permanent career track designed to take you all the way to your Red Seal.
Advantages
Scaled Wages: Competitive pay that increases as you crush your NAIT modules.
Truck Ownership: Exceptional apprentices move from the shop to their own mobile unit, gaining total autonomy.
Modern Skillset: Forget basic oil changes; you’ll lead diagnostics on a diverse fleet of commercial assets.
Exam Prep: Our Journeymen explain the "why" behind the "how," ensuring you’re exam-ready and technically superior.
Stability: We are expanding. Join a permanent team with a long-term roadmap for your professional growth.
Responsibilities
Precision Maintenance: Execute high-level PMs on commercial fleets and trailers.
Electrical Diagnostics: Hunt down and resolve complex wiring and system faults.
Digital Management: Fully document all repairs and diagnostics via our digital workflow platform.
Parts Logistics: Assist with inventory and sourcing parts through online and vendor channels.
Qualifications
Apprenticeship: Active 2nd or 3rd-year NAIT (or equivalent) enrollment.
Tech Literacy: Must be "computer-native" and comfortable with digital diagnostic tools.
Driver Status: Valid license with a clean abstract (required for mobile eligibility).
Professionalism: Must pass a criminal record check and provide proof of NAIT enrollment.
Tooling: A personal basic toolset is required to hit the ground running.
