Position Title: Food Production Batcher
Location: Edmonton, AB
Wage Range: $18.48 – $20.71 per hour (Start at $18.48/hr during your training period. Once fully trained and cleared to operate independently, your rate increases to $20.71/hr!)
Schedule: Part-Time Weekends (Saturdays and Sundays only) 6:00AM-2:30PM
The Role: You’ll be responsible for the precision weighing, labeling, and preparation of raw materials, following strict recipes to keep our kitchen running smoothly.
You will be the gatekeeper of quality—managing everything from allergen control and FIFO rotation to coordinating the flow of ingredients into the cooking process. We are looking for someone with a sharp eye for detail, a commitment to HACCP/food safety standards, and the physical ability to handle bulk ingredients and equipment safely.

Responsibilities
Precision Batching: Read and follow recipes to weigh and dispense ingredients (including bulk items like cream and oil) for the cooking and blending teams.
Quality & Safety: Check lot codes, monitor expiration dates, and ensure strict "First In, First Out" (FIFO) rotation of all raw materials.
Allergen Control: Execute careful recipe changeovers and sanitization to prevent cross-contamination.
Station Management: Setup and maintain your workstation, including the inventory of tools and equipment.
Documentation: Complete essential records for traceability, quality control, and productivity.
Sanitation: Maintain a clean and safe work area using proper chemicals and PPE, including performing deep cleans as required.
Communication: Coordinate the flow of batched ingredients to the kitchen and provide detailed shift handovers to the next team.
Qualifications
Attention to Detail: Crucial for identifying sub-standard materials and following precise recipe steps.
Communication Skills: Proficient in spoken and written English to follow directions and coordinate with Shift Leaders.
Safety First: A safety-conscious mindset with the ability to follow all company policies and use PPE correctly.
Physical Stamina: Ability to walk, stand, bend, and handle ingredients throughout the shift, including the use of knives and powered equipment (mixers/can openers).
Reliability: Punctual, pleasant, and eager to contribute to a positive team culture.
Preferred Experience: Previous experience in food manufacturing is an asset, but we are willing to train the right methodical worker.
Technical Readiness: Comfortable being trained on manual and powered pallet trucks for moving materials.
