Position Title: Forklift Operator/Order Picker
Location: Aldergrove, BC
Immediate temporary to permanent opportunity
Schedule: Monday-Friday + occasional Saturday
Shifts: 7:00AM-3:30PM (alternating to 8:00-4:30PM)
Wage: $21.00-$24.00/Hr (based on experience)
Certification: Sit Down Counterbalance certification is an asset but not required
Proficiency in safe forklift operation is required
Previous experience in a fast paced manufacturing setting required
Vehicle is required as shift timing is not transit friendly
You are legally permitted to work Fulltime in British Columbia

Responsibilities
Operate a sit-down forklift (9,000 lbs capacity) safely and efficiently
Load and unload pallets, coils, and other materials onto trucks and production lines
Pick and prepare customer orders accurately throughout the shift
Strap loads securely using banding machines to ensure safe transport
Inspect equipment before use to ensure safety and functionality
Assist in supplying coils to production and organizing material storage
Receive and mark incoming coils and materials
Map and plan loads for shipping to optimize space and safety
Organize trucking shipments and coordinate with drivers and couriers
Maintain clean and organized yard and work areas, including waste disposal
Follow all safety protocols and company policies
Qualifications
A minimum of 2 years of previous experience in a relatable setting
Proven experience operating forklifts and manual order picking in a manufacturing or warehouse setting
Proficiency with sit-down counterbalance forklifts (certification preferred but experience is mandatory)
Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs) and meet physical demands of the role
Knowledge of safety policies and procedures, including WHMIS training
Familiarity with banding machines and chop saw operation
Strong communication skills to interact effectively with production teams, order desk, drivers, and customers
Dependable with excellent attendance and punctuality
Vehicle required
You are legally permitted to work Fulltime in British Columbia
Physical and Working Conditions:
Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, bend, kneel, and perform tasks involving the use of hands and arms for lifting, handling materials, and operating equipment
Regularly lift and move up to 25 lbs, and occasionally lift and move items up to 50 lbs (e.g., steel components, coils, and packaging materials)
Work is performed in a warehouse and yard environment with exposure to dust, noise, moving equipment, and varying weather conditions
Physically demanding role requiring consistent manual handling and movement throughout the shift
Must follow all workplace safety protocols and use equipment as instructed
Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, safety glasses, and hearing protection is required and provided by the employer
CSA-approved steel toe boots are mandatory for this position
