Responsibilities
Machinery Operation: Safely operate a 10k Sit-Down Counterbalance forklift to unload, move, and stage heavy container freight.
Container Unloading: Manually and mechanically unload shipping containers containing A42s, K50s, totes, and related inventory.
General Labour: Perform miscellaneous warehouse duties, palletizing, freight sorting, and facility cleanup/sweeping as directed.
Shift Completion: Remain on-site for the full shift duration (until 5:30 PM or up to 6:00 PM as needed) to clear inbound containers.
Qualifications
Licensing & Experience: Valid certification and hands-on experience operating a Sit-Down Counterbalance forklift (experience with 10k capacity machinery preferred).
Physical Stamina: Ability to perform heavy manual lifting up to 50 lbs regularly and work on your feet for the entire shift.
Strict Dress Code / PPE: Must arrive on-site wearing CSA-approved steel-toe boots, a high-visibility safety vest, and long pants (shorts are strictly prohibited).
Communication: Clear English communication skills (speaking, reading, and writing well) to review freight tags and follow safety guidelines.
Reliability: 100% commitment to working and staying for the full 3-day duration of the contract assignment.
