Responsibilities
- Loading and unloading: Handling freight in and out of trailers. Products come in a variety of shapes and sizes.
- Forklift operation: Perform 75% of tasks using a forklift. Must have a valid license and previous experience in LTL loading and unloading.
- Manual handling: Perform 25% of lifting tasks, with the ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs
- Safety: Maintain a safe work environment and cooperate with the team. Compliance with safety rules is paramount.
Qualifications
The forklift driver must :
- have a valid external forklift license (expired on in-house may be considered)
- have experience using a sit-down forklift / counterbalance
- have previous experience in LTL loading and unloading
- be able to lift 50 lbs
