Responsibilities
• Safely operate counterbalance forklifts to load, unload, stack, and move raw materials and finished household and personal care products throughout the manufacturing facility.
• Transport packaging materials, ingredients, and completed goods between storage warehouses, staging areas, and active production lines on the afternoon shift.
• Conduct pre-operational daily inspections on material handling equipment, reporting any mechanical faults, hazards, or maintenance needs immediately.
• Utilize RF scanners and warehouse management systems to track material movements, verify shipping/receiving documents, and maintain precise inventory records
• Assist in loading and unloading tractor-trailers at the loading dock while adhering strictly to dock safety protocols.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by removing debris, clearing transit aisles, and following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
Qualifications
• Valid forklift certification (specifically Counterbalance Forklift) from an accredited training provider.
• Minimum of 1 to 2 years of proven experience operating counterbalance forklifts within a manufacturing, logistics, or distribution facility.
• Ability to comfortably lift up to 50 lbs and work comfortably in a fast-moving physical industrial environment.
• Flexibility to reliably work the full afternoon shift schedule (3:00 PM – 11:30 PM, Monday to Friday).
• Basic computer literacy and familiarity with RF scanning technology or computerized inventory tracking systems.
