Responsibilities
Safely and efficiently operate a counterbalance forklift to load and unload freight from trailers.
Verify freight for accuracy against shipping documents and note any discrepancies or damages.
Move, stack, and stage freight within the crossdock facility according to company procedures.
Conduct daily pre-operational checks on the forklift and report any maintenance or safety issues immediately.
Ensure all loads are secure and handled with care to prevent damage to products and equipment.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times.
Qualifications
Experience: A minimum of one (1) year of verifiable experience operating a counterbalance forklift.
Certification: Must hold a valid, externally-recognized forklift operator certification (counterbalance).
Environment: Previous experience in a crossdock, LTL, or fast-paced logistics environment is a strong asset.
Availability: Must be able to work the afternoon shift full-time.
Skills: Strong attention to detail and a "safety-first" mindset.
Physical: Ability to perform physical tasks, including sitting for extended periods and lifting (as required).
Reliability: Punctual, dependable, and possesses reliable transportation to our Cambridge facility.
