as an industrial picker utilizing the Cherry Picker forklift you will play a critical part in the supply chain by accurately selecting and preparing orders for distribution. As an Industrial Picker, you will safely operate material handling equipment to navigate warehouse aisles and retrieve hardware supplies from elevated storage locations. Safety is our absolute priority, which is why this position requires an external cherry picker licence and valid fall arrest certification. Responsibilities
• Safely operate a cherry picker (order picker) forklift to navigate the warehouse and retrieve hardware supplies from various racking heights.
• Use an industrial picker mechanism alongside required fall arrest protection to safely pick orders from elevated storage systems.
• Read and interpret pick slips, order sheets, or digital warehouse management systems to identify items, quantities, and storage locations accurately.
• Perform pre-shift equipment inspections on the cherry picker forklift and fall arrest harness to ensure optimal mechanical and safety conditions.
• Package, label, and secure picked hardware products onto pallets or carts to prepare them for shipping and logistics stages.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free manufacturing & logistics work area by disposing of debris and staging equipment correctly.
• Assist with inventory control, stock replenishment, and cycle counting within the warehouse as directed by the logistics management team.
• Collaborate productively with team members and supervisors to meet daily shipping targets and maintain operational excellence.
Qualifications
• Must possess a valid, externally issued cherry picker (order picker) forklift operating licence.
• Must hold a current, valid fall arrest / working at heights certification from an approved training provider.
• Prior experience operating a cherry picker forklift in a fast-paced warehouse or manufacturing & logistics facility.
• Reliability, strong punctuality, and a committed work ethic to support a consistent 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM day shift.
• Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including steel-toed safety boots and high-visibility vest.
• Ability to work legally in Canada for our client organizations.
