Randstad Canada is currently hiring for Forklift Operators for one of our esteemed clients in Surrey, BC.
The hiring is for a short term assignment.
Schedule:
Tuesday October 14th through Friday October 17th – 7:00 AM until 3:30 PM

Tuesday October 21st through Friday October 24th – 7:00 AM until 3:30 PM
Saturday October 25th – 8:00 AM until 4:30 PM
During the 2 weeks of training, the operators will be certified internally at the facility, as well as trained for the event (Saturday, Oct 25th).
Work Permit (Applied status candidates are also accepted)/ PR/ Citizens
* Steel toe CSA approved safety shoes/boots required *

Responsibilities
• Work under supervision and direction of department Supervisor and team lead
• Help to efficiently carry out all Distribution Centre tasks with the use of Powered MHE
• Follow all policies and procedures related to powered equipment, including inspections, safety checks, routine maintenance and training
• Perform detailed manual inventory counts as required
• Keep workplace clean and tidy (general housekeeping)
• Ensure tools and equipment are kept clean and in working order
• Report any equipment malfunctions or issues to upper management
• Adhere to health and safety rules and regulations at all times
• Wear protective clothing and equipment as required
• Work with other Distribution Centre team members to effectively complete assigned tasks
• Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- 6 months- 1 year experience operating Order Picker/ Turret Truck
- Ability to speak in English and a positive attitude.
- Ability to follow instructions and work orders.
- Excellent attention to detail
- Good organizational skills
