Responsibilities
• Operate a Counterbalance forklift safely and efficiently within a high-volume automotive warehouse.
• Load and unload trailers and shipping containers, ensuring all manufacturing & logistics documentation is accurate.
• Transport raw materials and finished automotive parts to designated production or storage areas.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and maintenance logs to ensure the Forklift is in top working condition.
• Manually lift and move items weighing up to 30lbs as required to support the manufacturing & logistics team.
• Adhere to strict health and safety protocols, including the use of PPE and following designated traffic paths.
• Assist with inventory counts and maintain a clean, organized workspace to optimize manufacturing & logistics flow.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to meet daily production quotas and shipping deadlines.
Qualifications
• At least 1 year of consistent experience as a Forklift Operator or in a similar manufacturing & logistics role.
• Must possess a valid, locally recognized Counterbalance forklift license.
• Ability to lift up to 30lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
• Flexibility to train on the day shift for one week before transitioning to the afternoon shift.
• Reliable transportation to the job site in Woodstock, Ontario.
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Commitment to punctuality and a strong work ethic in a manufacturing & logistics setting.
• Valid Counterbalance forklift certification is mandatory for this Forklift Operator role.
• Proven ability to operate industrial machinery in a fast-paced manufacturing & logistics environment.
• Strong spatial awareness and hand-eye coordination for navigating narrow aisles and high-traffic areas.
• Excellent attention to detail for verifying part numbers, quantities, and shipping labels.
• Basic computer literacy for logging shipments or using warehouse management systems (WMS).
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high productivity standards.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and a proactive approach to identifying potential hazards.
