Due to continued growth, they are looking to add an Accountant/Senior Bookkeeper to their team. This individual will manage client relationships and ensure accurate, timely financial reporting by handling full-cycle bookkeeping, month-end closes, and tax filings.

Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of clients, performing full-cycle bookkeeping including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations.
- Own the month-end close process for your clients. Preparing reconciliations, posting journal entries, and getting files to the review-ready stage on time.
- Prepare GST/HST returns and ensure filings are accurate and submitted on schedule.
- Communicate directly with clients and their team members to gather source documents, clarify transactions, and keep files moving.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports for client review.
- Collaborate with senior staff during the review process, responding to notes and applying feedback to improve file quality over time.
- Support onboarding of new clients, including setting up their file and getting familiar with their chart of accounts and workflows.
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 3+ years of bookkeeping experience, including hands-on work with AP, AR, payroll, and full-cycle accounting.
- You can manage a busy portfolio of client files without dropping the ball, and have experience in an accounting firm. Organization and attention to detail are
non-negotiable.
- Strong experience managing month-end close and preparing financial statements
- Solid technical accounting knowledge and practical application skills
- Proficiency with QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Desktop, and Sage 50
- Advanced Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, data analysis)
- Strong communication skills and ability to build trusted client relationships
