Responsibilities
You’ll join the Technology group, embedded in a high-performing DevOps team. Everyone codes, tests, deploys, and supports what they build.
You’ll:
Ship clean, scalable, tested code in Java and Python
Work hands-on with PostgreSQL, Unix, and event streaming tech
Collaborate with global teams and business stakeholders
Rotate into production support as needed (yes, even Sundays sometimes)
Learn new languages (Kotlin, Clojure, Rust, etc!)
Help drive innovation, reduce tech debt, and automate wherever possible
Qualifications
Must-Have Skills
Daily, real-world experience in Java and Python
Strong SQL skills (especially PostgreSQL)
RESTful API development
Unix/Linux scripting and environments
Familiarity with event-driven architecture / streaming tech
Passion for unit testing and full solution ownership
Bonus Points
KDB+ experience
Exposure to AI, ML, NLP, or data science projects
Experience in fast-paced DevOps/CI-CD environments
A track record of blogging, sharing knowledge, and pairing with teammates
Curiosity to work with languages like Rust, Kotlin, Haskell, Elm, Julia, or anything new
