We're looking for a Senior Fullstack Developer - Spatial Data Infrastructure for an initial 12 month contract that can be worked remotely!

Responsibilities
review and refine existing workflow and system architecture for a specific application;
review requirements to modernize a specific application;
improve and extend data model and re-write database applications in the context and requirements of BCgSDI;
deploy applications to BC government infrastructure (including source code and migration of data);
iterative delivery of (new or refactored) database, code (features, enhancements and bug fixes) in a continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) environment, with a focus on database and code stability and readability, in 2-3 week Sprints as determined by the Digital Service Owner;
active participation in Scrum Events or other work meetings with the Digital Service Owner, as and when requested;
provide documentation and reports in adherence with Ministry standards, including, but not limited to: technical documentation, data models and architectural diagrams;
contribute to the backlog of features, capabilities and technical debt used for the development and maintenance of Digital Services;
write automated tests to support unit/integration/load testing activities; and
submit pull requests for review/acceptance and revisions.
Qualifications
- Experience with PostgreSQL/PostGIS
- Web applications built with AngularJS
- Cloud Platforms (OpenShift)
- Experience with Spatial Services (GeoServer, Open Geospatial Consortium, etc.)
