Randstad is seeking a reliable Forklift Operator / Order Picker to join a top manufacturing and distribution hub in Oshawa. In this fast-paced night-shift role, you will be responsible for securely handling, moving, and organizing warehouse inventory.
Primary Duties
Safely maneuver counterbalance forklifts, reach trucks, and cherry pickers, including working at raised heights.
Select, prepare, and verify large product orders accurately based on system instructions.
Keep the facility clean, orderly, and strictly aligned with safety standards.
What We Are Looking For
Previous experience driving material handling machinery (specifically reach trucks or cherry pickers).
Ease and confidence operating equipment at height.
High attention to detail, strong work ethic, and a safety-first mindset.
Active forklift license is a plus (in-house certified training is provided).

Responsibilities
Picking & Staging Orders: Follow production reports, work directives, and shipping manifests to pull and position products accurately.
Driving Machinery: Safely operate material handling gear—including reach trucks, forklifts, clamp trucks, and order pickers—to load, unload, stack, and move goods.
Organizing Stock: Place and arrange items in their correct racks, bins, or shelves according to SKU numbers, dimensions, and product types.
Order Preparation: Perform picking, packing, sorting, and kitting tasks to process outgoing customer orders smoothly.
Quality & Accuracy Checks: Verify picked items for correct counts and undamaged packaging, following ISO 9001 guidelines and internal quality standards.
Equipment Maintenance & Safety: Complete pre-use inspection checklists on machinery, maintain a clean workspace, and log any maintenance issues right away.
Inventory Control: Help with routine cycle counting, stock rotation, physical audits, and keeping the warehouse organized.
Qualifications
Warehouse Background: At least 3 months of hands-on warehouse experience or related trade school training.
Comfort at Heights: Able and willing to operate order picking machinery at elevated rack levels.
Physical Stamina: Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs regularly and performing active duties—such as standing, bending, and reaching—for full shifts.
Schedule Flexibility: Fully committed to working the required night rotation (Week 1: Sun–Wed, 5:00 PM–3:30 AM Week 2: Sun–Tue, 5:00 PM–3:30 AM).
Safety Mindset: Dedicated to following site safety guidelines, proper equipment protocols, and safe work practices.
