Responsibilities
Responsibilities
Operate and maintain hand tools, including grinders and polishers, safely and efficiently to perform steel finishing tasks.
Grind and smooth welded steel parts to remove excess material, slag, and rough spots, ensuring a clean and consistent finish.
Inspect finished steel components for defects, ensuring they meet strict quality specifications and industrial standards.
Prepare finished products for the next stage of production, such as painting or shipping, as required by the Manufacturing & Logistics process.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, adhering strictly to all company safety policies and procedures in the Steel Manufacturing facility.
Assist the production team with various General Labour duties as needed to support overall manufacturing operations.
Qualifications
Attention to Detail: Meticulous focus on the quality and finish of the steel components.
Manual Dexterity: Excellent hand-eye coordination for the safe and precise operation of hand tools and grinding equipment.
Safety Acumen: A strong commitment to workplace safety and following standard operating procedures in a Steel Manufacturing environment.
Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive physical tasks required in General Labour and production roles.
Time Management: Capability to work efficiently and manage time effectively to meet production targets within the Manufacturing & Logistics schedule.
Communication: Basic verbal communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors.
