Responsibilities
As a vital member of the turnaround crew, you'll tackle rigorous physical labor within a highly technical industrial plant. Your primary daily responsibilities will include:
Assisting with vital vessel maintenance, which spans extensive tower rebuilds, full system overhauls, and heavy component swapping.
Engaging in strenuous manual labor, maneuvering up industrial ladders, traversing multi-level scaffolding, and transporting heavy materials across the site.
Operating with total confidence in harsh outdoor elements, elevated work platforms, and tight, restricted enclosures.
Championing an unwavering commitment to site safety regulations, making sure every procedure is perfectly executed to safeguard personnel and multimillion-dollar assets.
Jumping in to handle various site cleanup, staging, and general manual tasks as directed by site foremen.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications & Clearances
Mandatory Active Certifications:
- Confined Space Entry / Monitor
- H2S Alive
- Fall Protection
- CSTS-20
- Common Safety Orientation (CSO)
- WHMIS 2015
Bonus Qualifications:
- Standard or Intermediate First Aid
Essential Site & Physical Demands:
- Testing: Gaining site access requires successfully clearing a strict pre-employment 12-panel Drug & Alcohol test.
- PPE Rules: A clean-shaven face is absolutely mandatory every single day to guarantee emergency respirators and SCBA masks seal correctly.
- Stamina: You must possess the physical endurance to conquer grueling 10-12 hour workdays involving constant standing, heavy lifting, crouching, and repetitive maneuvers.
- Logistics: Must successfully coordinate personal travel to designated flight hubs or muster points for the FIFO Fort McMurray camp transit.
Background:
- Prior heavy industrial or oilfield turnaround experience is heavily preferred.
