General Labour/Yard Worker - Temporary

The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, previous general labour experience, be physically capable of lifting 50 lbs and able to work in variable weather conditions.

Responsibilities
- Sort and package materials in the yard
- Load and unload materials and incoming/outgoing shipments
- Work with yard inspector and operators to minimize yard congestion and ensure a smooth traffic flow
- Observe and follow all safety rules and regulations
- Assist with inventory, material sorting and organization in the warehouse
- Lifting 50 lbs as needed


Qualifications
- Previous experience in a manufacturing, production or scrap yard environment
- Reliable transportation required (remote location, not accessible by bus)
- Physically capable of prolonged standing, walking and lifting 50 lbs as needed
- Ability to work in variable weather conditions
- Attendance and reliability
- Knowledge of automotive components is an asset
