· Component Repair Specialists are responsible for creating Repair Orders (RO) and Exchange Orders (EX) and Work Orders (WO) based on required scope per Transport Canada Approved Technical Data (AMM, SRM, CMM, SB, AD and other approved technical publications).

· Individuals will have responsibility for ensuring outsourced and internal component repairs are accomplished in accordance with the Transport Canada CAR’s regulations and the WestJet Maintenance Schedule Approval (MSA).

Senior Specialists are responsible for the Component Repair Expedite Process and will provide guidance to individuals assigned to execute the expedite process.
· Responsible for identifying and actioning basic warranty recovery as required. Complex and difficult warranty and claims cases revert to a Senior Warranty, Insurance & Claims Specialist.
· Responsible for taking pictures as required to ensure integrity of warranty, insurance, cost recovery, and component repair process(s).
· Build relationships with OEM’s and Vendor Representatives and work directly with them as required regarding component repair and overhaul.
· Supports Technical Operations (Tech Ops) Continuous Improvement Initiatives.
· Component Repair Specialists will be expected to develop a working knowledge of eMRO and the component repair process.
