Responsibilities
Duties would include...
-Troubleshoot wide format press issues and resolve issues in collaboration with production and
technology managers
- Read and examine instructions from job docket and determine quantities to be printed,
production times, stock specifications, colours and colour matching
- Set up wide format equipment to specifications and prepare job by running samples to ensure
high quality consistency during production run
- Make final pre-run inspection of job and approve or confer with manager for approval
-Monitor machines and adjust speed, temperature, curing, and positions of products to ensure
machine is maintaining proper registration and/or proper cut and scoring specifications
- Make adjustments as needed to maintain specifications and timely flow of material
- Accurately log production data,
Qualifications
Print Media Diploma
- Experience in wide-format or large-format production environment
- Mechanically inclined and production oriented
- Computer proficient in both Mac and PC platforms
-Ability to understand and interpret written instructions to set up and operate machines as well
as perform maintenance routines
-Strong communication skills including ability to work well with clients, managers and teammates
- Able to multitask and prioritize work effectively under time pressure and tight deadlines
-Effective problem solving skills and decision making ability a must
