This is a unique "hybrid" role that bridges the gap between the service bay, production, and parts departments, ensuring that technical repairs meet the highest quality and warranty standards.

You’ll spend your time analyzing work orders, diagnosing complex system failures (transmissions, differentials, air systems), and ensuring the company is protected through meticulous documentation. Employment Type: Permanent / Full-Time
Schedule: Monday to Friday, Daytime
Wage Range: $40 - $45 per hour based on experience.

Responsibilities
As a Heavy Duty Warranty Technician, a normal day would include:
- Diagnosis & Repair: Assist in diagnosing complex vehicle problems and repair sequences for transmissions, differentials, air compressors, steering gear boxes, and drive lines.
- Warranty Administration: Ensure all repairs follow approved and established warranty procedures. Document repairs, parts required, and labor involved with high accuracy.
- Workflow Management: Analyze work orders to understand vehicle conditions and the accuracy of previous diagnoses. Estimate service/repair times to assist with efficient scheduling.
- Parts Coordination: Identify parts requirements for specific jobs and communicate those needs clearly via repair orders to the Parts department.
- Technical Communication: Maintain constant communication with Service Consultants and the Production department regarding repair status and warranty policies.
Qualifications
What do you need for this posotion?
- Technical Knowledge: Expert-level knowledge of semi-truck systems and the ability to explain complex repairs to others.
- Certification: Red Seal Truck Transport Technciain ticket.
- Documentation Skills: Proven ability to document detailed repairs and charges on warranty work orders.
- Compliance: Knowledge of and ability to comply with quality control and inspection requirements.
- Physical/Soft Skills: Must be physcially capable of lifting 50lbs throughout the day as needed. Also need to be competent in using computers.
