Requirements
Responsibilities
Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on a variety of heavy equipment, including diesel lift trucks, loaders, and gantry cranes, to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic system failures using advanced diagnostic tools and technical manuals.
Execute complex repairs and component rebuilds in a timely and efficient manner, adhering to the highest standards of quality and safety.
Complete fabrication, cutting, and welding tasks as required for equipment repairs and modifications.
Maintain detailed records of all maintenance and repair work performed, including parts usage and time tracking.
Work collaboratively as part of a dynamic skilled trades maintenance team to tackle challenges and meet operational deadlines.
Ensure all work is performed in compliance with company policies and provincial safety regulations.
Assist in managing parts inventory and recommend purchases for necessary components and supplies.
Qualifications
Mandatory Red Seal certification as a Heavy Duty Equipment Technician (421A) OR a Truck and Coach Technician (310T) with extensive heavy equipment experience.
Proven hands-on experience in the maintenance and repair of diesel lift trucks, loaders, and other industrial heavy equipment.
Experience working with Diesel Mi-jack Gantry Cranes is considered a significant asset.
Demonstrated knowledge of hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, fabrication, and welding is an asset.
Ability to work one of the specified shifts: straight nights (Mon-Thurs, 5:00 PM - 5:30 AM) or continental straight days (5:00 AM - 5:30 PM).
