This is an ideal position for a dedicated technician who takes pride in strong diagnostic troubleshooting and site safety.
As a Heavy Equipment Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining high-performance equipment reliability through precision mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical repairs.

Schedule: Full-Time Days (Field or Shop options based on experience)
Environment: Heavy Equipment Shop / Field Service
Wage: $42.00 to $48.00 per hour (Based on experience)

Responsibilities
What will you be doing?
Diagnostics & Troubleshooting: Perform root cause analysis on hydraulic and electrical systems using mechanical schematics and OEM software.
Mechanical Repairs: Execute scheduled maintenance and overhaul mechanical assemblies in dedicated shop bays.
Field Service Operations: Safely operate a service truck to deliver on-site troubleshooting, maintenance, and client support.
Safety Leadership: Participate actively in daily toolbox meetings, safety drills, and maintain strict adherence to zero-incident safety manuals.
Rigging & Material Handling: Safely operate shop overhead cranes, forklifts, and specialized tools.
Workshop Stewardship: Keep work bays clean, organized, and compliant with shop safety standards.
Qualifications
What are we looking for in a candidate?
Certification: Red Seal / Journeyman Heavy Duty or Commercial Transport certification (3rd/4th Year Apprentices are strongly encouraged to apply!).
Technical Expertise: Strong proficiency in diagnosing hydraulic and electrical system faults.
Licensing: Valid Class 5 Driver’s License (Class 1 or 3 license and clean driver's abstract required for field service roles).
Experience: 3+ years of mechanical repair experience; CVIP authorization is a strong bonus (crane-specific experience is not required).
Gear & Tools: Must possess a personal hand tool set (detailed requirement list provided upon hire).
