Key Responsibilities
Heavy Lifting: Safely lift, move, and load/unload heavy materials and equipment (up to 50 lbs+ regularly).
Tool Operation: Confidently and safely operate a variety of hand and power tools.
Site Prep & Maintenance: Clean and prepare job sites, clear debris, and eliminate potential hazards.
All-Weather Work: Perform outdoor and indoor duties comfortably across all weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, etc.).
Team Collaboration: Assist skilled tradespeople and follow directions from site supervisors to complete daily targets.
Safety First: Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.

Responsibilities
General Site Maintenance & Prep
Debris & Clean-up: Clean and clear work areas, remove debris, and dispose of waste materials to maintain a safe, organized job site.
Setup & Teardown: Set up temporary structures, scaffolding, safety barriers, or staging areas at the start of a shift and dismantle them at the end.
Material Management: Organize, sort, and stack inventory, tools, and construction materials so they are easily accessible to the team.
Material Handling & Physical Labour
Loading & Unloading: Manually load and unload delivery trucks, shipping containers, or trailers containing heavy materials.
Strenuous Activities: Perform continuous physical tasks including digging, shoveling, lifting, pushing, and pulling heavy loads.
Equipment Assistance: Spot and guide heavy machinery operators (like forklifts or excavators) to ensure safe movement around the site.
Tool & Equipment Operation
Tool Maintenance: Clean, inspect, and perform basic maintenance on hand and power tools to ensure they are in safe working order.
Equipment Transport: Safely transport tools and equipment to and from different areas of the job site.
Safety & Teamwork
Hazard Reporting: Immediately report any unsafe conditions, faulty equipment, or near-miss incidents to the supervisor.
Adherence to Protocols: Follow all company safety guidelines, occupational health and safety regulations, and wear the required PPE.
Support Skilled Trades: Work collaboratively with site supervisors and skilled tradespeople (carpenters, electricians, mechanics) to assist them with various tasks as needed.
Qualifications
Qualifications & Requirements
Experience: Proven experience in general labour, construction, landscaping, or a similar rugged environment.
Tool Savvy: Strong familiarity with standard hand and power tools.
Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, bend, crouch, and perform strenuous physical labor for extended periods.
Resilience: Comfortable working in changing environments (dust, noise, heat, cold).
Reliability: Strong work ethic, punctual, and possesses reliable transportation to get to the job site.
Safety Mindset: Steel-toed boots (CSA approved) are a must.
