In this Heavy General Labour role, you will be working with large-scale rubber mats weighing approximately 90 lbs. Teamwork is essential, as two people are required to roll the mats onto and off skids, involving consistent lifting of 50 lbs. Your day-to-day tasks will involve feeding mats into specialized machinery for trimming or cutting them in half to meet client specifications. Please note that the facility has a distinct rubber scent, which is standard for the manufacturing & logistics industry within this sector.
Safety is our top priority. As a Heavy General Labour associate, you must wear steel-toed boots. To ensure your protection, the company will provide safety vests, glasses, and medical masks. For safety reasons, no loose clothing is permitted on the production floor. We are looking for three reliable candidates to start as soon as next week. Advantages
Competitive starting wage of $20.34 per hour.
Shift premiums: $0.50/hr for afternoons and $1.00/hr for nights.
Steady schedule with afternoon shifts (2:30 PM – 11:00 PM) and night shifts (10:30 PM – 7:00 AM) available.
All necessary safety gear provided (vests, glasses, medical masks).

Responsibilities
Perform Heavy General Labour tasks including the manual handling of 90 lb rubber mats.
Collaborate with a partner to safely roll mats onto and off skids for transport.
Operate and feed rubber mats into industrial machinery for cutting and trimming.
Perform quality checks on finished mats to ensure edges are trimmed to specification.
Maintain a clean and safe workspace within the manufacturing & logistics facility.
Follow all safety protocols, including the use of PPE and adhering to the no-loose-clothing policy.
Assist with various production tasks as required by the warehouse supervisor.
Qualifications
Strong physical stamina and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs consistently.
Excellent teamwork and communication skills for synchronized lifting and rolling.
Ability to work in an industrial environment with a strong rubber scent.
High attention to detail when operating cutting and trimming machinery.
Strong adherence to safety standards in a manufacturing & logistics setting.
Ability to work efficiently during 8-hour shifts with an unpaid lunch break.
Forklift license is considered a significant asset
Must have your own CSA-approved steel-toed safety boots.
Proven experience in Heavy General Labour or a similar industrial environment.
Availability to start as soon as next week for training.
Commitment to a "temp-to-perm" career path within manufacturing & logistics.
