Responsibilities
- Assist and respond to internal and external inquiries and forward to the appropriate HR team member for follow up as required
- Maintain and update the HRIS with accurate employee data including new hire, wage/salary changes, termination information, etc
- Support the payroll department by providing relevant employee information as required for new and existing staff
- Maintain accurate records and compile statistical reports relating to personnel data (i.e. hires, transfers, vacancy rates, etc.) to support achievement of departmental KPIs
- Support the recruitment/hiring process as required by posting ads, arranging interviews, checking references, etc.
- Assist with creating, coordinating and facilitating effective onboarding for new employees
- Support the development, implementation and administration of HR policies, programs and initiatives
- Prepare and compile administrative documents as required
Qualifications
- Post secondary education in Human Resources or a related field
- At least 2-4 years working in a similar HR role
- Experience working with Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) is an asset
- Excellent attention to detail, multi-tasking and organizational skills
- Ability to establish and leverage positive relationships with key stakeholders
- Strong computer skills, with experience in MS Office Suite
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Adaptable, with the ability to handle multiple priorities under pressure
- Strong business ethics and process orientation
- HR system with experience in the implementation process
