Lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of assigned human resources programs.
Advise management and staff on human resources policies, employment legislation, and collective agreement administration.
Manage all human resources processes for an assigned group, including recruitment, onboarding, leave administration, and employee relations.
Lead strategic human resources projects, including EDI initiatives, HRIS rollout, and attendance management.
Provide backup support to other Human Resources Generalists and the Payroll team, including the unionized group.
Mentor supervisory staff on current human resources practices and recommend equitable resolutions to employee inquiries.
Qualifications
3-year post-secondary degree or diploma from a recognized Canadian institution.
Mandatory Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL) designation from HRPA.
4 to 7 years of relevant Human Resources Generalist experience.
Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle for occasional travel.
Previous human resources experience in the public sector or OMERS administration is an asset.
