Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
Manager Coaching & Advisory
-Trusted Advisor: Serve as the primary point of contact for people managers and employees regarding performance management, workplace concerns, policy interpretation, and team dynamics.
-Leadership Coaching: Empower and coach managers on delivering effective feedback, navigating difficult conversations, and building high-performing teams.
-Employee Relations: Provide proactive guidance to leadership on progressive discipline, conduct, attendance, and termination processes.
HR Operations & Lifecycle Management
-Lifecycle Ownership: Own the execution of seamless onboarding, internal employee changes, and offboarding processes to ensure an exceptional employee experience.
-Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with corporate HR teams on payroll inputs, leave administration, accommodations, and benefits management.
-HR Technology: Maintain high data integrity and optimization within internal HRIS and ATS platforms.
Compliance, Policy & Retention
-HR Legislation: Advise management on applicable employment standards, human rights, and labour laws to ensure compliant workplace practices.
-Policy Development: Research, draft, and update clear, compliant human resource policies, procedures, and health and wellness programs.
-Data-Driven Retention: Analyze employee engagement surveys and assist with compensation reviews and market analysis to provide actionable recommendations for retention.
Qualifications
Experience: 4+ years of progressive HR Generalist/Advisor experience, ideally within a corporate or fast-paced environment.
Education: Post-secondary degree or diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
Core Competencies: High emotional intelligence, exceptional conflict resolution skills, and the ability to build trust quickly with stakeholders at all levels.
