Responsibilities
Lead Recruitment & Selection: Take charge of attracting and hiring top-tier talent to support the organization's mission and growth.
Onboarding & Employee Integration: Develop and implement engaging onboarding programs to ensure a seamless transition for new hires.
Foster Positive Employee Relations: Cultivate a supportive and inclusive workplace through effective communication, conflict resolution, and employee engagement initiatives.
Performance Management: Guide managers in performance appraisals, identify areas for employee development, and implement improvement plans to enhance individual and team performance.
Training & Development: Identify and address training needs, coordinate learning initiatives, and monitor their effectiveness to drive continuous employee growth.
Ensure Compliance: Stay up-to-date with Canadian employment laws, update HR policies, and conduct audits to ensure legal and organizational standards are met.

Qualifications
Educational Background: A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management or a related field is required. A Master’s Degree or equivalent post-graduate certification is preferred.
Experience: At least 2-3 years of experience in Human Resources or Organizational Development, ideally within the NGO or charity sector.
HR Expertise: Deep knowledge of Canadian employment laws and the ability to apply them effectively in daily operations.
HR Skills: Experience in policy development, advising managers, and using tools like Workday is a plus.
Management Abilities: Strong leadership and time management skills, with the ability to motivate teams and develop others.
Communication: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
Work Eligibility: Must be eligible to work in Canada.
