Your Role
As the H&S Coordinator, you’ll take on real challenges that bring out your full potential.
Your scope includes:
- Ensure Compliance with all regulatory requirements including incident reporting and recordkeeping
- Maintain & continuously improve health & safety policies, procedures and programs.
- Act as a key point of contact for safety inspections and audits, supporting preparation and follow-up.
- Conduct risk assessments, safety audits, and hazard analysis across both sites.
- Analyze safety trends and data to identify opportunities and drive proactive risk reduction strategies
- Track and report on safety KPIs, present findings and recommendations
- Champion a people-first, safety-first culture through visible floor presence and engagement.
What you bring
You're a natural fit for the H&S Coordinator role if you have:
- Post-secondary education in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Health, HR or related field.
- Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) or working toward designation (strong asset)
- Joint Health & Safety Committee (JHSC) Certification (Parts 1 & 2)
- First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- 3–5 years of experience in a Health & Safety role within manufacturing or industrial environments
- Equivalent combination of education and experience considered
- Strong working knowledge of safety regulations and compliance requirements with the Ontario Occupational Health & Safety Act (OHSA)
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Excel, reporting, tracking)
- Experience with systems such as SAP, Power BI, or safety tracking tools (e.g., Conformit) is an asset
- Valid driver’s license with ability to travel daily between sites
