Responsibilities
Employee Relations: Serve as the first point of contact for employee issues, resolve conflicts, and promote a positive work environment.
Full-Cycle Recruitment: Lead the entire recruitment process from sourcing and interviewing to onboarding, ensuring we attract and retain top talent.
Performance Management: Oversee performance review cycles, provide guidance to managers on performance improvement plans, and manage disciplinary actions.
Coaching: Provide coaching and support to managers and employees on various topics, including leadership development, communication, and conflict resolution.
Policy Creation and Implementation: Develop, update, and implement HR policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance and support business objectives.
Compliance: Stay up-to-date on employment laws and regulations (both federal and provincial, especially Ontario) to ensure the company remains compliant.
Qualifications
A bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
5-7 years of progressive HR experience, preferably within the logistics or a related industry.
Proven expertise in employee relations, full-cycle recruitment, performance management, and policy creation.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with HRIS and applicant tracking systems.
