Strategic Market Growth: Proactively identify and prospect new business opportunities within the commercial and industrial sectors to expand the regional footprint.
Technical Estimating: Conduct detailed onsite needs assessments and gather technical specifications to prepare accurate, competitive project proposals and estimates.
Client Relationship Management: Act as a trusted advisor to general contractors, architects, and developers, fostering long-term partnerships to influence project selection.
Cross-Functional Leadership: Serve as the primary link between the client and internal engineering/project management teams to ensure alignment on scope and deliverables.
Safety Stewardship: Champion a culture of safety by ensuring all site visits and project designs adhere to rigorous safety management systems.
Seamless Project Transition: Oversee the formal handover of completed projects to Account Managers to ensure continuous service and maintenance support.
Qualifications

Industry Expertise: At least 5+ years of proven experience in business development, technical sales, or project management within the HVAC-R or mechanical contracting industry.
Educational Foundation: A P.Eng in Mechanical Engineering (or eligibility for registration) OR a Journeyman HVAC-R Certificate with significant field experience.
Technical Proficiency: Advanced ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications for complex mechanical systems.
Communication Mastery: Exceptional negotiation skills and the ability to present technical data confidently to diverse stakeholder groups.
Mobility: Must be willing and able to travel 30%–50% of the time to visit client sites and regional branch locations.
