Responsibilities
Define project objectives, roles, responsibilities, and resource needs.
Develop supporting project documentation including charters, cost estimates, timelines, communication plans, and quality frameworks.
Use project management tools and adapt methodologies in compliance with client gating processes.
Develop and monitor project plans, budgets, scope, risks, and performance metrics.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align project schedules and resources.
Identify, assess, and manage project risks, issues, and change requests.
Lead and coordinate project team deliverables to ensure successful outcomes.
Manage projects through planning, implementation, and operational startup phases.
Prepare and present progress reports, updates, and recommendations to stakeholders and governance bodies.
Project status reports and progress briefings for stakeholders and senior management.
Presentations on governance decisions and project updates.
Contribute to technical documentation, lessons learned, and project closure activities.
Qualifications
Valid Reliability-level security clearance (or higher).
Project Management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is required.
Agile scaling methodology certification (e.g., SAFe, LeSS, Nexus, or Disciplined Agile) is considered a strong asset.
Extensive experience as a Senior Project Manager leading large-scale IT-enabled and digital transformation initiatives.
Proven track record supporting enterprise environments, including Government of Canada departments and Crown Corporations.
Demonstrated experience implementing and managing projects within a structured project management gating process.
Strong experience in managing project governance through formal presentations, risk reporting, and stakeholder communications to support informed decision-making.
Solid understanding and practical familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies.
