Responsibilities
Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance on plant equipment, utilities, and production systems
Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and electro-mechanical systems to minimize downtime
Conduct routine inspections, diagnostics, and operational checks on machinery and facility systems
Interpret and work from electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings
Support installations, modifications, and upgrades of equipment and production lines
Collaborate with maintenance leadership to improve PM programs and equipment reliability
Monitor equipment performance and identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency gains
Maintain accurate documentation in CMMS, including repairs, inspections, and lockout/tagout records
Support plant shutdowns, including full equipment inspections and maintenance execution
Ensure compliance with safety standards, LOTO procedures, and regulatory requirements
Participate in on-call rotation and overtime during peak production or emergency situations
Qualifications
Valid Ontario 442A Industrial Electrician License (required)
Minimum 3+ years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
Strong ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic schematics
Hands-on experience with troubleshooting, installations, and preventative maintenance
Solid understanding of electrical codes, safety regulations, and industrial standards
Experience using diagnostic tools, calibration equipment, and power tools
Familiarity with CMMS systems and maintenance documentation practices
Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in high-pressure
